Tiway brings expertise in three types of projects:
appraisal and exploration, production enhancement, and offshore development.
Appraisal and Exploration In Tiway’s core areas,
there is significant drilling history on onshore fields that were previously considered
non-commercial. Tiway believes that this history provides an important guide to
new opportunities. It uses its geological expertise to identify the best of those
opportunities and operations leadership to drill pioneering appraisal and exploration
wells. In Turkey, Tiway’s Bakuk discovery was in a remote field that had previously
been drilled. Tiway fast-tracked an appraisal well and a commercialization effort
to bring the gas to full commercial production.
Production Enhancement Many of the most attractive opportunities in
Tiway’s core region are in previous discoveries and fields producing below their
potential. Tiway has brought its core engineering and geology skills to projects
to assess behind pipe and enhanced recovery opportunities, including at an onshore
oil field in Turkey and an oil field in Ukraine. Tiway begins its incremental recovery
project by combining leading-edge internal and external geological modeling studies
to highlight bypassed oil and gas zones, new zones, and potential additional structures
and reserves.
Offshore Development Offshore oil and gas production will continue
to be of growing importance in Tiway’s core regions. Tiway’s Turkish team was the
primary developer of the shallow water SASB project in the Black Sea, a project
that involved 19 wells drilled, four platforms constructed in two phases, extensive
shore-based logistical infrastructure, and significant pipeline and facilities construction
to bring the gas to market. Tiway is applying the lessons learned in SASB in its
pursuit of other offshore development projects in its core regions.
