Tiway began its incremental recovery project by combining leading-edge internal
and external geological modelling studies that have highlighted bypassed oil zones,
new zones, and potential additional structures and reserves. It is now undertaking
an extensive well surveillance program that will lead to major well intervention
work, introducing such techniques as cased hole logging determination of hydrocarbon
saturation behind pipe, mechanical and chemical water shutoff, and artificial lift using
electric submersible pumps and rod pumps.
